Puma / Vimby.com invited me again on the Gumball3000. 3000 miles, 130 cars, 7 cities, 2 continents. This years route was London- Amsterdam-Copenhaugen, Denmark - Stockholm, Sweden, cars and participants then fly to Boston, MA - Quebec City, Canada - Toronto, Canada - Times Square, New York City. I operated primarily as a one man crew and my mission was to produce 8 live videos, which I had to produce on the road (below) and 8 more developed episodes documenting the rally from the experience of team Puma and a few other teams.

Live content. Working gumball is literally working eight twenty hour days in a row. I produced these videos daily on the trip, editing in the back of a car or late night after the parties.

One thing I have learned being a freelance videographer is never turn down work because you never really know when your next job is going to be. Every once in a while I get to fill in for Lumitone and shoot a wedding here and there. Working with these guys has been awesome. The work may not be as exciting as the gumball or some of my other projects but it is very gratifying. everyone at the company are amazing at what they do and I have learned a lot from working with them.

Here is a same day edit that I worked on with Lumitone. I acted as second camera, Wolfe as first, and the very talented Joel came through with this same day edit.

Gumball3000 is popping off this year again. Thanks to Puma for getting me back on their team. Forget all the celebrities, im just trying to hang out with Dave Mirra. When getting into bmx i always really looked up to Mirra. It was around 2000, when he was winning all the contests. I film bmx street riding but havent really gotten to meet a lot of the contest riders from the other side of the sport. Cant wait.

The Lotek Video was originally intended to be an HD DVD but we changed gears and Lotek Shoes and Vimby.com formed a video partnership and we distributed the video online in 3 parts on vimby. I was recently selected from the San Francisco State film production students to participate on one of the film crew shooting the 2008 Official Beijing Olympic Film. I was flown to texas for 8 days where I operated as second cameraman shooting b roll footage and behind the scenes material for the DVD extras. They also asked me to shoot at the torch run through San Francisco on April 9th and will sending me to San Diego in May to shoot bmx racing at the Olympic training center.
